ABOUT THIS CLASS

The college admissions process spans decisions and activities from 8th grade through 12th, and is more competitive and complicated now than ever before. That's why this monthly series builds a clear, comprehensive picture of how college admissions works, one topic at a time. Each month, current and former admissions officers from top universities lead sessions that break down the core elements of the process: what colleges actually look for, how extracurriculars are evaluated, how public and private university admissions differ, and more. Speakers bring their experience from top schools including Columbia, Harvard, and the UC system, as well as from reviewing scholarships and serving as admissions consultants. This series is designed for students and families from middle school through high school, with emphasis on a holistic overview of each element of the process and concrete actions that students can take in each year of high school. Register for the series and you'll receive alerts before each session as well as recordings when each session completes.
