What Is Sketchmasters Drawing Camp? Pencil Mastery & Value The camp begins with the building blocks of all drawing: the pencil. Students explore how different pencil grades — HB for mid-tones, 4B and 6B for rich darks — produce dramatically different results, and they build value scales to internalize the full tonal range from white to black.
