Chuck Cohn
Founder & CEO of Varsity Tutors
As a high school honors student, Chuck struggled to find a highly effective tutor who could help him with his more difficult Advanced Placement classes and standardized test preparation. The overpriced big-name national tutoring companies didn’t offer personalized service in specific subjects and spent little time on their tutor recruitment efforts. They also didn’t sufficiently leverage learning technology and content. Searching on directory sites or tutor marketplaces yielded spotty results. Cohn recognized that there was an opportunity to facilitate best-in-class tutoring through a live learning platform and by eliminating the extra costs traditionally associated with national tutoring companies. Varsity Tutors was founded in 2007 at Washington University in St. Louis.
Our team works tirelessly to ensure students and parents are connected to the best private tutors.
