If someone was in pain they might not be able to think clearly, so the correct answer is "She dulled the pain . . . " "Dulled" means lessened, reduced, made less intense. she seems born for this
The use of the semi-colon tells you that the information contained in the second half of the sentence must support the information in the first half of the sentence. If the speaker has never seem someone so talented, it makes sense that she would be born to it. This means something like "she has a natural talent" for it. The other answer choices are either nonsensical or else describe someone who does not seem very talented. Additionally, "fortunate" means lucky; "talented" means skilled at.

The use of the conjunction "yet" suggests that the information in the second part of the sentence will somehow contradict the information in the first part of the sentence. A "miser" is someone who is not generous with money, someone who is stingy. So, the correct answer is " . . . he has so much money" because this reflects the contradiction implied by "yet." All the other answer choices would either be better suited to the conjunction "and" or else are completely unrelated.
