Explanation:

Simplify the numerator and the denominator, then divide, as follows:

$=\frac{\frac{1 \cdot x}{x} - \frac{2}{x}}{\frac{1 \cdot x^{2}}{x^{2}} + \frac{2}{x^{2}}}$
