Mr. Witt, my current English teacher, has had a profound impact on my educational journey this year. Unlike many of my other teachers, he approaches our class with a refreshing perspective, unburdened by the pressures of preparing us for an AP test at the end of the year. This unique aspect of his teaching allows us to focus on the joy of learning and exploring literature without the looming stress of standardized assessments. His relaxed demeanor creates an environment where creativity and critical thinking can flourish, making our classroom feel like a safe space for intellectual exploration.

One of the most intriguing elements of Mr. Witt's teaching style is his incorporation of small psycho-evaluations of the characters in the books we read. This approach has transformed our discussions into deep dives into the motivations, fears, and desires of the characters, allowing us to connect with the material on a personal level. For instance, while studying a novel, we might analyze a character's decision-making process and how their background influences their choices.
