Having good leadership skills are extremely necessary to have for college success. In order to really excel in college having these skills would be an amazing thing to have and work on. When doing group work or if you are an athlete on the field these skills would definitely come in handy.

For example if there was chaos in the group or on the field, you would be able to step in and handle the situation. You would be able to do it without causing more conflict between you and your fellow members or teammates. While in high school teachers talk about how leadership skills are important, so why would they be in college too. Having the leadership qualities makes you a more inspiring person and a more likely person to not freak out in situations or to give good advice to friends or lower class men.

You have to watch your skills sometimes though, because sometimes in the wrong situation people might think you are being bossy or a control freak. It is always best to explain what you are doing before you do it and to try to involve everyone that is around you and help them. Leadership is a very important thing to have when at college. If you do not have it, it would probably be best to start working on those qualities now.
