I think the impact of having a college degree is very important and beneficial because it allows you to have an educational experience and background. It gives you the foundation to have job opportunities, be able to network properly, and you can earn more than someone who just has a high school diploma. You can be more successful and most of all it shows you took the time to earn a degree and in result you will be honored for it. Having a degree shows that you made a sacrifice to get a higher education and implies that you have goals set for yourself and you're willing to do what is needed ,and feel impacted positively, because you earned that degree! This gives you a moment to advance and become more than a person having a diploma. Yes, you may say people can be successful without a degree but they also limit themselves and work harder to become successful. They have to fight for what they want more than a person who took the time and went to school to get an associate, bachelor, master, or doctorate degree. College graduates have a lower unemployment rate than those who just have a diploma, it is proven that companies show more interest in hiring employees with higher qualifications and modifications. A college degree opens doors to having a job that secures the advantages of having health insurance, retirement, and job security; according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, it is stated that someone obtaining a bachelor’s degree earns 67% more than someone with just a high school diploma. Going to college can allow you to meet people and make valuable connections to network. This is very important and helps people with success and eliminates the major struggles of life itself. Problem solving, critical thinking, increase in communication skills, and encouragement in intellectual curiosity thereto can all be gained in college and overall can help broaden students perspective and impact both careers and personal life. In conclusion, earning a college degree has many positive impacts on a person's life and can elevate a person's success in a job setting and personal setting.
