As a sophomore psychology major at Charleston Southern University, I have faced my fair share of academic challenges. One experience, in particular, stands out as both a hurdle and a turning point in my college journey. It was during my freshman year when I encountered the complexities of Research Methods in Psychology, a course that tested not only my academic abilities but also my resilience and determination.

When I first enrolled in Research Methods, I was excited yet apprehensive. I knew it was a foundational course that would shape my understanding of psychology as a science. However, I underestimated the level of analytical thinking and attention to detail it required. The course was structured around complex concepts like statistical analysis, experimental design, and data interpretation, areas I had little experience with in high school.
