There are alot of teachers who've had a significant impact on my educational journey.Their is one in particular that stands out from the rest.This one is Mrs.Casey,who helped encourage my love for reading along with my ability to keep asking questions until I understood.
The first time I had Mrs.Casey was in 8th grade.SHe loved to read and encouraged her students to do so.The next year she would move up to highschool with me,where her passion for reading did not diminish at all.She still encouraged all her students to read books.Along with reading she was also a big advocate that all her students could do better academically if they believed they could.This really helped me,because during my freshman year I missed a lot of school due to mental health problems.Without Mrs.Casey I can confidently say that not only would I fail my freshman year of highschool I would probably fail my sophomore,junior and senior year.
I was not a particularly good student at the start of my highschool career and yet she still believed in me.I am now a senior who gets mostly A’s and only allows herself to get one B if that because I know I can do better because of Mrs.Casey.Mrs.Casey is both a mentor and teacher to me,one who not only helped me get to where I am now but also pushed me.Without Mrs.Casey I would still be a below average student who doesn't care about her grades.I am so thankful to have a teacher who was willing to help a student like me who seemed unhelpable.
