When I first started my journey at the University of Cincinnati, I was excited but also a bit nervous. I had decided to double major in Management and Construction Engineering, which I knew would be challenging. Balancing these two fields required a lot of time management and dedication, but I was ready to take on the challenge. However, I did not anticipate just how demanding it would be, especially during my sophomore year.

One of the most challenging academic experiences I faced was during my second year when I had to take a particularly difficult course in Structural Analysis, a core class for my Construction Engineering major. The course was known for its rigorous workload and complex concepts. I had always done well in high school, graduating with a GPA of 3.77, and I was used to understanding new topics fairly quickly. However, this class was different. The mathematical concepts were abstract, and the application of these theories to real-world problems was something I struggled with.

At first, I tried to tackle the problem by studying harder. I spent hours going over lecture notes and textbooks, but I still found myself confused and frustrated. My usual study methods were not working, and my grades were not reflecting the effort I was putting in. I was worried that I might not pass the course, which was a requirement for my major.

Realizing that I needed to change my approach, I decided to seek help. I started attending office hours regularly and asked my professor for guidance.
