Making a difference with What I have learned. by Daisy - May 2025 Scholarship Essay

If I had unlimited time and money, I would use everything I've learned in school to make the world a better place for future generations to come. School not only has taught me math, science, and history, but also helped me think through my problems, work with others, and understand how the world works. With these skills and the unlimited resources, I think I can make a difference.

I would use my research ability to search for places where schools and education are not offered as much. I would use this to develop a global education initiative that ensures every child, regardless of where they are born, has access to free, high-quality education. I’d build schools in underdeveloped areas, provide training for teachers, and use technology to bring learning to remote communities. By investing in education, I believe we can break the cycle of poverty and allow millions to build better lives.

In addition to education, I would use my understanding of science and technology to address environmental challenges. With unlimited funds, I’d support research into clean energy sources and sustainable practices. I would create green energy centers, support the transition away from fossil fuels, and promote conservation efforts worldwide. My goal would be to leave behind a healthier planet for future generations.
Finally, I would use my communication and leadership skills to bring people together from all backgrounds to collaborate on global solutions. I’ve learned that teamwork and empathy are just as important as academic knowledge. With the right people and ideas, we could make real progress in areas like public health, justice, and human rights.

In the end, school has taught me that knowledge is powerful—but it’s how we use it that truly matters. With unlimited time and money, I would use what I’ve learned to educate, creating a more just, sustainable, and hopeful world for everyone.
