Inspiration by Dante - November 2022 Scholarship Essay

My most surprising source of inspiration so far this school year has been the fact that I realize the immense responsibility that I will have once I graduate high school. I began to reflect on how I can impact my family and community if I put in my effort to do the best I can in school and in college.
This would help me and my family get out of the low-income situation we have had since my single mom has had to work to raise 4 children. This alone inspires me to help out more, being selfless and caring for others.
Another source of inspiration is the responsibility of getting married and starting my own family once I help out my mom. That inspires me to do my work quickly and efficiently, and even study more on my own time so that I can be well prepared for college and maybe even graduate early.
The people and community that surround me have been the most surprising source of inspiration for me this school year. We were all created in God's image, and we have to do the best we can to live up to our responsibilities on the personal level, and with our community.
