Making an Impact by Demiro - May 2025 Scholarship Essay
If I had unlimited time and money, I would use what I learn in school to make a big difference in the world by helping people live healthier and happier lives. School teaches us important subjects like science, math, and health, and I believe these subjects can be used to solve real-world problems. For example, in science class, we learn how the human body works and what it needs to stay healthy. With this knowledge, I would work on creating free health programs and resources for people who don’t have access to doctors or healthy food.
One major problem in the world is that many people don’t have clean water or proper healthcare. Using what I learn in school, especially in science and social studies, I would build clean water systems in poor communities and open free medical clinics. I would hire doctors, nurses, and teachers to work in these areas and help educate people about staying healthy. With unlimited money, I could make sure no one had to suffer just because they were born in in the wrong place or didn’t have enough money.
Another way I would make a difference is by supporting education. School has shown me how important learning is for building a better future. I would build schools in countries that don’t have enough of them and make sure every kid had school supplies, books, and trained teachers. I’d also create after-school programs that focus on sports, art, and mental health, because school isn’t just about grades—it’s about becoming a better person.
Lastly, I would invest in research to find solutions to big problems like climate change and diseases. In science class, we learn about the environment and how humans are affecting it. I would fund clean energy projects and help invent new ways to reduce pollution. With unlimited time and money, I could support scientists and students around the world to work together and make the Earth a better place. In conclusion, school teaches us skills and knowledge that we can use to help others. If I had unlimited time and money, I would use what I learn to improve health, education, and the environment. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to live a good life, and with the right tools and support, we can create a better world for everyone.
