My name is Diego Soto, and I am currently a freshman at Southern New Hampshire University, majoring in Computer Science. As a college student, I have faced several challenges, but one academic experience stands out as particularly formative and transformative.

During my first semester, I enrolled in an introductory programming class that focused on Python. I was excited to dive into the world of coding because I had always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes our world. However, I quickly realized that the course was more difficult than I had anticipated. The concepts were complex, and I struggled to keep up with the pace of the class. I found myself spending hours on assignments, only to end up with code that would not run or produce the desired results.

The first few weeks were especially tough. I felt overwhelmed by the new terminology and the logical thinking required to solve programming problems. My confidence took a hit, and I started to doubt my ability to succeed in the field I was passionate about. I knew that I needed to find a way to overcome these obstacles if I wanted to continue pursuing my major in Computer Science.

The turning point came when I decided to reach out for help. I realized that I could not tackle this challenge alone, and there was no shame in seeking assistance.
