An accomplishment I am proud of by Emily - December 2016 Scholarship Essay

The summer before my senior year I asked myself, " What would it be like to be class president?" I gave it a lot of thought and considered all the responsibility this task would come with. September rolled around and senior meetings were in full swing. The question came up about who would be interested in being the class president, suddenly enough I raised my hand and filled out the application sheet. Weeks went on and on. One day I got called to our schools counselors office and was told that I was the 2017 class president!
The reason why I think this is my biggest accomplishment of high school is, because with my personality it fits well with me. I like to hear everybody's opinion on decisions, I like to hear new ideas and also I'm a very organized person. In the past couple months class president has been an exciting adventure yet stressful. It helps me get skills for being a leader which is one of the best qualities to have. This also helps me gain experience working along with others in a mindful and respectful way which I will need in my aspiration to become a dental assistant in the fall.
Why I think being class president is my biggest school accomplishment is because it helps me get experience dealing with people on a respectful level and it gives be traits to being a leader. Both of these things will help me to have a happy successful life.
