My freshman teacher by Evan - January 2025 Scholarship Essay

During my Highschool years, I made connections with a few teachers that really helped me excel in the classroom as well as outside of it. But no other teacher than my freshman year computer science teacher helped me more. She was also my high schools swim coach which I was a part of from my sophomore to senior year, helping my team go to states in my sophomore and senior years as well as going myself for an individual event in my senior year. She not only helped me in the pool by pushing me to become better and better every day pushing me to a place I wouldn't have been able to make athletically without her. However, in the classroom she was always available to help me with problems I had academically as well and would always listen to my future plans and offer advice to me, especially when trying to decide a college. First coming into high school, she made the transition easy and smooth for not only myself but others in my class as well. She has a very kind and helpful character, and I don't think anyone else had helped me out more than she did throughout my years in high school athletically and academically.
