The elective will provide the skillsets to assist with creating a budget, properly planning expenses, and providing the ability to track your spending habits, which create opportunities to make better informed financial decisions. This is a vital tool as a student because you learn early on the responsibilities of money, how to manage it properly, tracking expenses, setting short term and long-term financial goals, and building financial literacy, which plays a major role in future spending.
