Soft skills are some of the most basic things that a student needs to have for a successful education. These skills are very important and needed for a student's success in life. Things like speaking skills and teamwork are very important. Taking certain advanced placement classes requires people to be able to speak in front of people without messing up. Students in these classes are expected to be able to work in a group, making sure that they are comfortable with working with others. These skills are important because they can prepare students for the future, making sure they have basic communication skills for a professional job.
Gen Z kids have been known for not having the best speaking skills. A phone at the age of 5 teaches kids early how to not write properly. Common words being simplified like 'you' to 'u' or 'are' to 'r', creates a language barrier that these young kids never got by. Seniors who graduate this year still use this slang however, they know the difference between when or not to use this type of language. Seniors should have good speaking skills as they enter the workforce. In general, people need to know how to talk to another person when it comes to being interviewed to apply for a job. Seniors especially need speaking skills because they are just starting their life and having these extra funds will be very helpful. Having these speaking skills is also very important when it comes to a classroom setting. Advanced placement classes require students to speak publicly when presenting a project or conducting research. Skills can easily help them so they have no struggle when presenting. If some students don't have these skills, they can easily struggle and fail certain classes. Speaking skills are important and students especially need to know how to use them.
Teamwork is needed to have a successful career in anything. Being able to team up with others and easily communicate with them is very important. In school, many advanced placement classes have people working with others. Using good speaking skills can be useful when it comes to introducing yourself to others whom you have never met before. Many people do projects with others that know nothing about each other. Once working with one another for a month or longer, they connect a lot easier. These can create many new friendships that they thought were never possible.
Having good speaking skills and teamwork capabilities, students can easily graduate high school with higher grades than before. Speaking skills help people speak in front of others and not be embarrassed. Teamwork skills help people gain new friendships and the ability to be comfortable working with others. Many skills can affect a student's school life. But having specific skills can make students have a successful education.
