After graduating high school, I decided to pursue a career in graphic design and have never looked back. I have always had a talent for art and design and wanted to use my artistic abilities meaningfully. Graphic design intrigued me because its purpose is to help others communicate messages or ideas visually. From the packaging of our favorite snacks to the apps and websites we use daily, graphic design is everywhere. I am currently attending Southern New Hampshire University to learn how to help others succeed through logo and print product design.
Logos serve as an organization’s first impression and visual identity, offering a glimpse into who they are and what they stand for. Many people may view logos simply as icons representing a company, but their role extends far beyond that. When we think of well-known companies and organizations, their logos often come to mind first. Successful and trusted organizations tend to have memorable logos that resonate with people. I aspire to create iconic logos that help organizations develop strong identities, attract consumers, and foster trust. Logos are the foundation of success for businesses across any industry, and as a graphic designer, I am eager to contribute to a company’s success by crafting meaningful visual identities.
In addition to designing logos, I am also passionate about creating print product designs. Ads such as flyers and posters remain relevant tools for communicating messages, physically and digitally. These designs often attract and encourage consumers to engage with a business’s products or services. Through my studies, I have learned that successful ads evoke emotion and inspire trust in their viewers. I want to help organizations thrive by using illustrations and layout design to create powerful “calls to action.” I especially desire this knowledge to help charities and non-profits gain the attention and support they need. Many worthy causes struggle to achieve their mission due to a lack of compelling visuals that drive people to act. I am eager to use my skills to help these organizations gain the awareness and support they need to succeed and make a real difference.
Ultimately, I aspire to create impactful print ads that bring consumers to businesses and charities while designing logos that give organizations the memorable identity they need to build trust and recognition. By studying graphic design, I will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to serve and support organizations. My interest in art and design goes beyond just visual appeal. I love how they can create a lasting impact, and there is no better career for me than using my talents to make a positive impact and help others succeed.
