Higher education is more than a career path; it is a gateway to opportunity and meaningful contributions to society. For me, pursuing a college degree represents the chance to turn my lifelong curiosity about human behavior into a profession that not only fulfills me but also allows me to help others. My name is Heaven J. Hall, an 18-year-old high school senior with a with a clear vision for my future. As an only child, I have always been self-motivated and eager to explore the world around me. My passion for psychology, particularly criminal psychology, has driven me to pursue higher education with unwavering dedication.
The world around me has profoundly influenced my dreams and career aspirations. Growing up, I have always been fascinated by human behavior why people think, act, and make the choices they do. My curiosity led me to develop a deep interest in psychology, and over time, I realized my passion for criminal psychology. I want to study the minds of the mentally challenged and criminals, seeking to understand their thought processes, motivations, and behaviors. Through this knowledge, I hope to contribute to both the criminal justice system and mental health advocacy.
My curiosity about human behavior drives me to understand the minds of criminals and individuals with mental illnesses, aiming to improve rehabilitation programs, assist in criminal investigations, and advocate for mental health awareness.
My interest in criminal psychology is not just about understanding criminal minds but also about making a meaningful impact. I believe that by studying the psychological factors behind criminal behavior, I can help improve rehabilitation efforts, assist in criminal investigations, and advocate for mental health reforms.
As a high school senior preparing for the next step in my journey, I’m committed to pursuing a degree in psychology. I understand that the path to becoming a criminal psychologist requires dedication, resilience, and a continuous thirst for knowledge. Despite the challenges that lie ahead, I remain steadfast in my goal, knowing that this work will help bring awareness and change to the complex intersection of crime and mental health.
My short-term goal is to transition into college and major in psychology with a concentration in criminal psychology. I plan to excel academically, participate in research, and seek internships that provide hands-on experience. Building connections with professionals and professors will help me navigate my career path.
