For the world by Janiya - May 2025 Scholarship Essay

I would like to create a safe environment for less fortunate kids to have fun. When I can host parties and celebrations for their hard work. Finding money to raise for kids to eat and to afford new clothes. I want to give back to college students as much as I can because we are the future. The more we invest in others and support them through their journey of success the better things can get. I would like to find a way to support children who have been through a lot of trauma. The unlimited money would be given to those who need it.

I believe that God has put me in a lot of situations to help me grow as a person. I am nothing without the faith of god in my life. I believe in having a good mindset even when I don’t see the results instantly. I believe that focusing on my grades will eventually help me succeed. I want to only fulfill my dreams to the fullest. I want to be successful for younger black women in the future. I want to reach many mountains that other people have not climbed. I want to teach my children how to love their black skin. I want to teach kids the importance of exercise.

It kind of hurts when I put in the work and so many scholarships from school have not been open to full- rides. My mom has even seen the work I have put in for the four years of highschool and years before. I want this scholarship so my mom can feel some source of relief and so she can feel happy. My mom works very hard to keep me clean, happy, safe, motivated. I am deserving to make her feel happy and appreciated.
