Future Education by Jennifer - May 2020 Scholarship Essay
We tend to look forward to our future, we try to visualize where we will be in 4-6 years. As we age even if we no longer are in school, we continue to learn by our surroundings but when we think about the education system in 50 years, we might get a little concerned.
By this time generation Z will be in charge of student’s education. Generation Z has been noted to be the most sensitive and lenient, therefore I believe in 50 years students will have education easier on them. The education system will be more fun because generation Z will teach their students how they wish they would have been taught. Students will highly depend on technology to help them learn, to review class materials, become more responsible, and possibly to cheat their way through.
There will be an increase of successful women because education will no longer be an obstacle for girls, families will be more supportive of their children getting a proper education. The education system will be more diverse, there will be a variety of teacher and students who have different ethnicities. Students will no longer wait till middle school or high school to meet their first African American, Muslim, or Hispanic teacher.
The biggest consequence of having education more accessible to all is that education will be more expensive, colleges will raise tuition prices because education will be demanded for high paying jobs.
