This course was my first real test in college, and it taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, resourcefulness, and growth.

In high school, math had always been one of my stronger subjects, so I assumed that accounting would come naturally to me. However, I quickly realized that accounting was not just about numbers; it was about understanding a whole new language of financial statements, ledgers, and concepts that were foreign to me. The pace of the class was fast, and I found myself struggling to keep up with the material. My first exam was a wake-up call. I did not do as well as I had hoped, and it shook my confidence.
