What do you plan on majoring in when you get to college and why did you choose that major? by Jon - April 2025 Scholarship Essay

I plan on majoring Film at my college because I have always loved using a camera for photography and video making and I was able to have that experience in high school for football games and tennis games that I was allowed to be shown on our school news and it was such and amazing experience. Outside of high school, I would make my own content and post it online to show my creativity and I really enjoyed it for a while till college started. Before that, I had my own camera set and make my own groups to make shorts for everyone to enjoy and have fun with. Film also made me enjoy watching behind the scenes from movies and TV shows and show how they use the camera out there and make it such an amazing experience to the audience outside. I also think Film would be the best decision I have ever made going forward in the future since this is what I enjoy seeing for quite a few years, as well as having experience. I know how important and big Film is in the work industry and how it manages to give the audience their feeling and emotions from the actors that they are watching and how they can understand throughout the show or movie. Film inspires me to make ideas, attract the audience, and understand what story you're going for.
