Union Makes The Force by Joseph - March 2017 Scholarship Essay
In these days we live in a society were we have created many invisible barriers that affect the development of us as Americans and human beings. These barriers have been built stronger than any barrier built out of concrete, one of these barriers name is discrimination.
This is a problem that affects many people throughout the whole United State and the sad thing about this issue is that we are all human beings with common interests, with intentions of a good citizen and a tremendous desire of success in life. This issue affects this country strongly, a country that was built by immigrants that brought the best of themselves and abandoned their country and found in the United States a new place that they now call home. Many of these immigrants have raised their kids and made successful citizen in this country and this kids have adopted an American life style, many of the leaving behind tradition and culture passed down from their ancestor. Throughout the years, Americans and immigrants have built the greatest country in the world, a country where you can walk through it's streets and see may people from different races, each one of them representing with pride their roots, without forgetting where they come from. Another important factor that we must take into consideration is that nobody chooses what race they want to be or how they want to look, it something that we don't have control over it. The thing that we do have control over is how we let this problem spread out more through the country without educating our youth community about the actual values that represent the American citizen. The United States is a country that has demonstrated huge potential in all aspects, we Americans and immigrants have demonstrated to be supportive in the worst cases, and to be unified when we mostly need it. Unfortunately during the last couple of year we have let these barriers divide us without taking into consideration if we have been doing the right or wrong thing the whole time.
We as America, built by immigrants from all over the world should demonstrate see the positive things that unite us as human beings and make the best out of each day we spend in the world's greatest nation, The United States.
