One meaningful way I have helped others is through my work with kids in an after-school program. In this role, I spend time helping students with activities, resolving conflicts, and guiding them when they face challenges with schoolwork or friendships. Instead of simply giving them answers, I try to teach them how to work through problems on their own. I encourage them to pause, think about their options, communicate with each other, and stay fully engaged in the moment.

Working with the kids has taught me a lot about patience, empathy, and the importance of being a positive role model. I have learned that children often just need someone who listens to them and helps them slow down and think through situations. Seeing them grow more confident in solving their own problems has been very rewarding.

Through this experience, I also learned more about who I am as a person. I realized that I genuinely enjoy supporting and guiding young people. It helped me discover my interest in the health science field, especially careers that involve working with children and helping them develop healthy habits and emotional skills. This experience showed me that I want a future where I can continue helping kids grow, learn, and succeed.
