Becoming a National Honor Society member by Karim - December 2016 Scholarship Essay
Being a current college student shows I've been through many things over the years. However, of those things my school accomplishments are some of the most memorable. Of all of my school accomplishments, the one I'm most proud of is becoming a member of the National Honor Society.
I first joined the National Honor Society in the 8th grade at my middle school, I was called by one of the secretaries who had informed me of my accomplishment. I was then later given my shirt and pin, officially becoming a member. Once I graduated from middle and moved to high school my National Honor Society membership followed with me. I was immediately placed into the high school level group the moment meetings began. There was much more to do this time as our group met every two weeks a month to discuss activites, pointt earnings, inaguration etc. It was all very enjoyable and rewarding as becoming a member allowed me to help out the community around me as well as increase my opportunites for things. This time I had my shirt, pin and sash to go with my gown as the members were the first to walk across the stage for graduation. Our gold sashes showed great significance as we entered the stage and stood proudly among the graduation class of 2016. Now being a college student my National Honor Society memebrship has carried on with me again allowing for more opportunites to come.
