The Impact of Mr. H by Kaya - January 2025 Scholarship Essay
From elementary school to high school, we have many teachers who are there to teach us, from academics to basic things in life. In college, teachers are taught how to interact with students, not just teach us. We all have teachers who have impacted us, but there is always that one who made a difference in your life and helped you get through school.
But to myself, I had a teacher who impacted my life, that was my 5th and 6th-grade homeroom/social studies teacher, Tyler Huber. He was the most upbeat, happy person who always tried to make his students feel at home and ensure we knew what was happening. Having him two years in a row helped when trying to navigate from 4th grade into becoming a junior high school student. He always made sure everyone in his class understood him and could go to him if we needed any help. Mr. Huber rarely got mad and if he did he made sure we knew why and how we could fix it, he never really punished anyone for things that were not too bad. Having him as my teacher was something that I will always cherish and never forget because he helped me in so many ways no other teacher could. I will forever thank him for what he did and how he impacted me and my life.
