Accomplishments by Khylon - August 2023 Scholarship Essay

Hello, my name is Khylon Owens. I am an 18-year-old African American male from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Growing up I've always been great with academics and achieved numerous things dealing with academics so, there are a lot of things that I could choose from as being my biggest achievement during my education. The achievement that speaks the most values to me is maintaining successful passing grades throughout my 12 years of school.

I've never had any bad experiences with grades. Things got more challenging when covid-19 became a deadly disease, but that couldn't stop me from staying on top of my grades. I made sure that I did all of my assignments on time, and turned everything in. If I needed help with something I would always email my teachers for additional support. Also, if your grades are low then that will bring your GPA down which will lower your rank in your class, and I wasn't settling for that. Sometimes it did get very stressful and exhausting, but I managed to pull through like I've always done. As my high school years flew by, I was still keeping my grades up.

In conclusion, my biggest achievement was keeping my grades up and by doing that it has gotten me this far in my education career and I couldn't be any prouder of myself.
