Miss Jodiana by kweta - January 2025 Scholarship Essay

Miss Jodiana, I met her on my first day of my new job in the hospital. She told me I reminded her of her daughter with my nerdy glasses, braces, and shy ways.Miss Jodiana has treated me like her own daughter. I work long 3-day, 12-hour shifts with her, and Jodiana was always there with kind word and supporting comments. She would let me watch what she was doing like taking vitals , blood pressures, putting on a heart monitor, because she knew I wanted to be a nurse soon. Jodiana would buy me coffee to help me stay awake through the exhausting night shifts . WhenI has a rough day and couldn't hold it in , Jodiana would pull me to the side and have the best side talk with me . Her words would lift my spirits, and my day would become ten times better. She understood my struggles and always knew exactly what to say to make me feel encouraged and valued. There were days when I felt completely overwhelmed , questioning my ability to continue. On those days, Jodiana's gentle smile and comforting presence were like a life line. She never judged me for my tears or my fears. Instead, she offered a listening ear and a compassionate heart. Her belief in me gave me strength to push through the toughest moments. All I can do is thank Allah for Jodiana every day because she heals something in me that I didn't know was broken. Her presence in my life has been a true blessing , and I am forever grateful for her unwavering support and kindness. She has shown me what it means to care deeply for others, and I aspire to be the kind of nurse and person she is
