As a rising college freshman, I am excited to embark on my academic journey, majoring in Biology and Chemistry. Reflecting on my high school years, I realize that one of the most challenging academic experiences I faced was during my junior year in AP Biology. This class was notorious for its rigorous curriculum and demanding workload, but it also sparked my passion for science and taught me valuable lessons in perseverance and resilience.

At the beginning of the course, I found myself overwhelmed by the complexity of the material. Concepts like thermodynamics and equilibrium seemed foreign, and the pace of the class was much faster than I was used to. I remember receiving my first test score, which was significantly lower than what I had expected. It was a wake-up call, and I realized I needed to change my approach if I wanted to succeed.

To overcome this challenge, I first had to acknowledge that I was struggling and needed help.
