My name is Nathalia Rocha, a rising college freshman, eager to embark on the journey that Flagler College sets before me. As a woman of Hispanic and White descent, I've always been engulfed in a rich infusion of cultures, each offering unique insights and perspectives that have invariably enriched my worldview. This cultural diversity has not only shaped my identity but also fueled my thirst for lifelong learning, particularly in the realm of Communications.

As I prepare to traverse the path towards higher education, I am often reminded that college is just around the corner, and the life I wish to fashion for myself is almost within my grasp. This realization, powerful and empowering, serves as the flame that ignites my motivation to pursue my academic goals. I stand today on the brink of adulthood, with dreams mirrored in my eyes and aspiration echoing in every beat of my heart.

My urge to succeed in the field of Communications stems from my inherent fascination with diverse cultures, languages, and perspectives interweaving to form our global narrative. The thought of employing my education to bridge communication gaps, dispel misunderstandings, and align the dispossessed with their rightful place in society strengthens the resolve with which I would approach my studies at Flagler College. I aspire to be the voice that narrates the myriad untold stories that exist in the corners of our society and to advocate for those who are underrepresented.

In the face of challenges, I believe the key to staying focused is consistently reminding oneself of the joy that comes with achieving the desired goal. My daily mantra is a silent whisper to myself that 'success is a journey, not a destination'. This perspective equips me with resilience during rough patches, and I find inspiration even in apparent failures, seeing them as stepping stones towards tomorrows filled with accomplishment.

My high school years have been a testament to my dedication and perseverance, as evident from my GPA of 3.53. But academics alone have not been my focus. I have consistently engaged in activities that store experiences beyond traditional learning.
