As a college junior at Florida International University majoring in Architecture, I have faced my fair share of academic challenges. One experience that stands out occurred during my sophomore year. It was a time when I was deeply immersed in the demanding world of architectural design, a field that requires not just creativity but also precision, technical skill, and the ability to think critically under pressure.

The challenge began with a semester-long project in my Design Studio course. The project tasked us with designing a community center that would serve as a multifunctional space for a diverse population. The brief was intentionally broad, encouraging us to explore innovative concepts and push the boundaries of conventional design. While this freedom was exciting, it was also daunting. I quickly realized that the open-ended nature of the assignment meant there were countless directions I could take, but also countless ways to falter.

Initially, I struggled with narrowing down my ideas. I had a vision of creating a space that was both environmentally sustainable and deeply connected to the community's cultural heritage. However, translating these abstract concepts into a tangible design was far more challenging than I anticipated.
