Educational Role Model by Sarah - March 2021 Scholarship Essay

My educational role model is my sister. Hard to believe, but it’s true. She is 20 months older than me and one grade ahead of me in school. She was always the goody two shoes, in middle school she never had the need to study, however when she got to high school she realized she needed to kick her butt into gear. Not only did she find a way to study hard but found a way to continue getting straight A’s all throughout her high school career. She rarely complains about anything. She gets all of her work done, gets ahead in her classes and still manages to have fun and hang out with friends.
My sister has always been very smart and after she got a 24 on her ACT freshman year she kept getting smarter and smarter. Her junior year she ended with a 33 on her ACT and used that and her 4.0 GPA in order to get full tuition paid for at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has had so much success in school, she is going to college next year for research in the immunology field. I aspire to reach the levels that she has already reached, she’s reaching for the stars and she hasn’t missed yet in my eyes. My sister is very important to me and I believe that she can accomplish anything that she puts her mind to and says that she can do.
