School Accomplishment by Sean - December 2016 Scholarship Essay

I have received many accomplishments from school these past two years that I have attended. Yet the one that sticks out the most to me is my acceptance into the National Honor Society. This was an award I received my junior year and I am still currently in this year.
Being inducted into the National Honor Society was the best thing I have ever done academically inside my high school. Since I was little, my parents have always stressed about me getting high grades and not letting me settle for anything below a 90. My parents’ hard work and dedication therefore, paid off once I became a member of the NHS. This accomplishment I had achieved meant the world not only to me, but to my parents as well. By me becoming a member of NHS, I not only lived up to their expectations, but I was finally starting to understand what hard work and dedication in the classroom could get me. One of those benefits was becoming part of an elite club that only few of the students in my high school were eligible for.
By joining the NHS, I feel as if all of my academic goals were finally complete. That day I still remember has to be the day when my parents were the proudest they had ever been of me. This achievement of being inducted into the National Honor Society has to be my most memorable school accomplishment to this day.
