From the moment I entered school, technology has played an important role in my learning. Over the years, it has changed and improved, becoming one of the most helpful tools in my classroom experience. From educational games in elementary school to AI assistance in high school, technology has made learning more accessible, engaging, and efficient.

In elementary school, technology introduced me to learning in interactive ways. Programs and online games helped me practice math, reading, and problem-solving while making learning enjoyable. Even then, I could see how technology supported lessons and offered help outside of what a textbook could provide. Even my teachers used it to teach me lessons or show me videos on the projector.

As I grew older, technology quickly evolved. By the time I reached high school, artificial intelligence became a major topic. Although AI was controversial because of misuse, I learned to use it responsibly. When I struggle with an assignment, I use AI to explain problems step by step. Instead of just giving me answers, it teaches me how to solve them. This is especially helpful when I need extra guidance outside of class. Teachers have also started integrating technology into their lessons, showing that these tools can support learning when used correctly. Plenty of my teachers use a website called canva to make very entertaining presentations. Also as a kid who was in computer science it was especially helpful to always have access to a classroom full of computers.

Technology became even more essential during the pandemic. In 6th grade, when schools shut down, learning shifted completely online. My school issued Chromebooks to every student, allowing us to continue our education from home. Even now, Chromebooks are part of daily school life, with teachers assigning work digitally through platforms like Schoology. This change has made schoolwork more organized and easier to access, both in and out of the classroom. Now when I walk in class I always have my chromebook out to help me with work.

When I compare my experience to my parents’ or grandparents’, I realize how much more support technology provides students today. It has opened doors to faster learning, constant access to resources, and new ways to understand difficult material. He made my classroom experience fun and unique and it did the same for others.

Technology has positively impacted my classroom experience by making learning more effective, accessible, and adaptable. As it continues to evolve, I know it will play an even bigger role in my education in college and beyond. Sometimes, I even imagine how advanced the classroom might be when I have kids of my own.
