My troubles by Parker - December 2024 Scholarship Essay

Throughout my academic career, there have been many different instances where I can recall having a challenging academic experience. One that sticks out to me, though, is this past year, my junior year when I took a CCP Algebra class through Bowling Green State University. Near the end of the class, it began to get extremely difficult not just to me, but also to my classmates. Despite expecting the fourth chapter to be the most difficult do to it being the last, it was rather the third chapter of Algebra work that was the hardest. We were working through complex things that as we went through, we could definitely understand why it was a college class.
In order to overcome this academic challenge, I locked in and got to work studying on how to understand the problems being given to me. Problem after problem and topic after topic, I eventually began to understand them and proficiently solve the challenging problems. This was not only due to myself, though, as I had help from my aforementioned classmates while at the same time, I also helped them get through it because we understood different parts of the chapter. So, I eventually finished the chapter and the class with a good grade and little to no anguish.
