Growing up I've always struggled with my health, both physical and mental. I'd be in and out of hospitals, and most of my teachers struggled with helping me catch up grade wise. But my law enforcement teacher Mr. Sandford was always there during my high school education. He'd come right up to me make and make jokes that would brighten my day more than he could know, and he'd sit down with me and catch me up on all of my work. He is the type of teacher that's more like another uncle because he would show up and show out for events, or just talk to you when you're down. He'd even come to my work and support me there. I am so thankful for him because he's the reason I kept trying to improve my grades and better myself as a student. And to this day, even it being my last year and high school, and me going to collage I know he will still let me come by to talk and he will continue to be in my mind telling me to never give up. He never realized how much strive he gave me to keep working and to go to college so I can better my future. He's the best teacher any student could ask for and all he did was be there. So for that alone I can proudly say he has had a significant impact on my educational journey.
